The Walking Dead season 3 trailer makes me happy in my pants.
And I’m also reminded of what a sad panda I was earlier in the week when I couldn’t get my copy of issue 100 because my LCS sold out.
Some “Grimey” #WalkingDead fanart of Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln).
Partly inspired by Rick’s outfit in the comic as well the winter weather in the prison arc. I was gonna give him is badge too but I realized he left it on the farm in the series, so it wouldn’t be accurate. Plus I’ve had the itch to do another (tv) Walking Dead character since I did that Daryl Dixon a few months back.
My original idea was to give him longer hair like the comic as well as riot gear. But I decided against it since he wouldn’t look much like Andrew Lincoln/live action Rick.
I think the hardest part doing this was 1) his gun. I suck ass at drawing guns, I think i drew it five or six times before I said “fuck it” and 2) second hardest was tracking down a screenshot of the prison at the end of “Beside the Dying Fire” for the sake of consistency. And drawing it by hand was a whole other can of worms.
So yeah, there’s my Rick Grimes, I’ve included two black and white versions, a full colour one, and the hi res version.
