Tori Amos - “Time” (Tom Waits cover)

It’s a live performance on Letterman from 2001. The actual song can be heard on “Strange Little Girls” which is an an album of covers including “’97 Bonnie and Clyde”, “Heart of Gold” and “Happiness is a Warm Gun”. Which like everything Tori Amos does is pretty awesome.

Which brings me to Tom Waits, who’s legal name should be Awesome. The song “Time” (which I almost posted instead of this) is on his 1985 album “Rain Dogs”,

which is one of my favorites of his, top 5 for sure (though me ranking his albums in order of preference feels like someone asking a parent to rank their kids from favorite to least).
